In-house Legal Officers (2)

Task Force Mapalad (TFM), Inc., a non-government organization working for agrarian reform and rural development, is currently in need of two (2) lawyers to act as in-house legal officers who will render direct legal services and legal education (capacity building for paralegals) for the marginalized rural sector (farmers, IPs…) claiming their rights to land.

MAIN TASKS:

1) Act as regular resource person in TFM’s paralegal clinic and training of paralegal practitioners/ peasant organizers in resource tenure improvement campaigns (includes writeshops and continuous orientation on agrarian reform law and other rural land-related policies)

2) Provide legal information and advice to partner people’s organizations in the context of agrarian reform law (the application of RA 9700 or the CARPER law) and other land tenure policies, circulars, memoranda and administrative orders

3) Provide litigation support, representation to farmer/IP members in their specific agrarian-related cases
